Complete Guide to the 11th PRC New Pay Scales
Effective from July 1, 2018
Overview
The Government of Andhra Pradesh implemented the Revised Pay Scales 2022, based on the recommendations of the 11th Pay Revision Commission (PRC), with effect from July 1, 2018. This new structure replaced the previous scales from the 10th PRC (2015).
The key feature of the 11th PRC was a significant fitment benefit of 23%, which is reflected in the increased starting pay and increments across all grades. The new master scale has also been expanded to 83 stages, compared to 81 in the previous master scale.

Key Changes and Benefits
The 11th PRC pay revision brought several significant changes:
- 23% Fitment Benefit: All employees received a 23% increase in their basic pay.
- Increased Starting Pay: The minimum basic pay increased from ₹13,000 to ₹20,000.
- Higher Increments: Increment amounts have been increased across all stages.
- Extended Scale: The master scale now has 83 stages compared to the previous 81.
- Revised Grade Structure: Some grades have additional stages in the new pay scales.
