AP Schools to Hold Year-Long 'Vande Mataram' 150th Anniversary Celebrations
The Director of School Education, Andhra Pradesh, has issued proceedings to commemorate 150 years of the National Song "Vande Mataram," which was composed by Shri Bankim Chandra Chatterjee in 1875. A series of year-long activities will be held in all schools across the state from 7th November 2025 to 7th November 2026.
Schedule of Activities
- Mass singing of Vande Mataram to be organized and uploaded to the campaign website.
- Vande Mataram concerts to be organized in all schools and educational institutions.
- Encouraging students to participate in the national quiz on Vande Mataram via the MyGov platform.
- Organizing special assemblies, essay competitions, debates, and poster-making events.
- Holding Vande Mataram music programmes by school bands, NCC, etc.
- Displaying exhibitions on Vande Mataram across all educational institutions.

1875లో శ్రీ బంకిం చంద్ర ఛటర్జీ స్వరపరిచిన జాతీయ గీతం "వందేమాతరం" 150 సంవత్సరాలు పూర్తి చేసుకున్న సందర్భంగా, ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ పాఠశాల విద్యా సంచాలకులు ఉత్తర్వులు జారీ చేశారు. నవంబర్ 7, 2025 నుండి నవంబర్ 7, 2026 వరకు రాష్ట్రంలోని అన్ని పాఠశాలల్లో ఏడాది పొడవునా ఈ వేడుకలు జరుగుతాయి.
కార్యకలాపాల వివరాలు
- సామూహిక వందేమాతరం గానం నిర్వహించి, దానిని ప్రచార వెబ్‌సైట్‌లో అప్‌లోడ్ చేయాలి.
- అన్ని పాఠశాలలు మరియు విద్యా సంస్థలలో వందేమాతరం సంగీత కచేరీలను నిర్వహించడం.

ప్రాముఖ్యత మరియు చరిత్ర
జాతీయ గేయం: "వందే మాతరం" మన దేశ జాతీయ గేయం (National Song). (జనగణమన మన జాతీయ గీతం - National Anthem).
స్వీకరణ: భారత రాజ్యాంగ సభ ఈ గీతాన్ని జనవరి 24, 1950న అధికారికంగా జాతీయ గేయంగా స్వీకరించింది.
స్వాతంత్ర్యోద్యమంలో పాత్ర: భారత స్వాతంత్ర్య పోరాటంలో ఈ గీతం ఒక "రణన్నినాదం"గా పనిచేసింది. స్వాతంత్ర్య సమరయోధులు ఈ నినాదాన్ని ధైర్యంగా ఉపయోగిస్తూ బ్రిటిష్ పాలనకు వ్యతిరేకంగా పోరాడారు.
మొదటి ఆలాపన: ఈ గీతాన్ని 1896లో జరిగిన భారత జాతీయ కాంగ్రెస్ కలకత్తా సమావేశంలో రవీంద్రనాథ్ ఠాగూర్ గారు మొదటిసారి బహిరంగంగా పాడారు.
