The examination is conducted in 6 regional centres namely, 1)Visakhapatnam 2)Rajamahendravaram (Rajamundry) 3)Guntur 4)Nellore 5)Ananthapur and 6) Thirupati.
The APSET-2017 examination is conducted in 31 subjects for which UGC has granted permission. The list of subjects is as follows:

The question paper - I which is common for all candidates appearing APSET will be bilingual (English and Telugu). Paper – II for the following subjects a) Commerce b) Economics
c) Education d) History e) political Science f) Public administration g) Sociology and h) Social work will be bilingual (English and Telugu). All the remaining papers are in English only.
The syllabus prescribed by UGC-CSIR and UGC-NET for paper-I and Paper-II without negative marks be adopted for APSET. The Paper II & III are merged to become Paper-II.
Examination Pattern:

Paper-I shall be of general nature, intended to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate. It will primarily be designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate. Paper-I shall consist of 50 objective type questions. Each question will carry 2 marks.
Paper-II shall consist of 100 objective type questions based on the subject selected by the candidate. Each question will carry 2 marks.
The candidate will have to mark the responses for questions of Paper – I and Paper - II on the Optical Mark Reader (OMR) Sheet provided along with the test booklet.
There is no negative marking.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
- Click on the Register link to register for Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test 2018.
- Fill in the required information and enter a password of your choice. Please note that this password along with the register email id will be used to login and complete your registration process.
- Candidate Name, Father's Name, Date of Birth, Email ID and Mobile number once submitted cannot be changed.
- Your registered Mobile number may be used to send SMS communication
- The email id and mobile number that you enter in the registration form will be treated as your primary contact details and all communications will be sent to the same.
- On successful registration, an email will be sent to the registered email id Login to the website using your registered Email ID and password.
- Fill in the remaining details i.e. educational qualification, choice of examination centre etc. and click "Submit".
- Upload your scanned photograph and signature and caste / disability certificate (if any) in jpg/jpeg format only. File size of the Photograph should be between 15kb to 50kb, Signature should be between 5kb to 20kb and that of caste / disability certificate should be between 50kb to 300kb. The online application system will not allow to upload files smaller/larger than the mentioned sizes.
- A summary is displayed along with the total amount payable. Click on the "Make Payment" link, you will be redirected to the payment gateway website.
- Application Fee Payment
- Application form processing fees as stated below is to be paid through online system only by Credit Card/ Debit Card (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets for which the service charges, shall be applicable in addition to the application form processing fees.
- No other mode of payment shall be permitted.
- This fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.
- For OC Category Candidates : ₹ 1000/- + Service Charges
- For BC-A,BC-B,BC-C,BC-D,BC-E Category Candidates : ₹ 800/- + Service Charges
- For SC/ST/PH/VH/HI : ₹ 500/- + Service Charges
- On payment of the Application Fee, the same will reflect in your application profile.
- You may take a print of your Application Acknowledgement form generated, for your records and future reference.
