Guidelines to District Educational Officers for Induction Training Programme 2017-18
As a part of Continuous Professional Support to the teachers (School Assistants), RMSA has planned to conduct Induction Training (spell 2) recruited in DSC 2014. The 2nd spell training programme helps the new teachers to find solutions to their classroom transactional challenges and to update themselves on the innovations brought in the school education such as Digital Classrooms, Energizing textbooks, New assessment procedures in light of NAS, SLAS etc. Comprehensive, high-quality teacher induction can accelerate professional growth and teacher effectiveness.
The following are the guidelines to conduct Induct Training at district level:
District level Committee:

  •       District Educational Officer is the overall in-charge of Induction Training Programme.
  •      DEO will Act as the Course Director for all the batches in the District.
  •         Guide the Course coordinators strictly adhere to the unit cost indicated.
  •      Instruct the Course Coordinator to conduct pre-test and post-test and analyze the strengths and weaknesses of the teacher in order to take care the initiatives in the training programme.

·         Conduct one day planning meeting with Course Coordinators and SRPs and issue necessary instructions to run the programme smoothly and effectively.
Venue:
·         Induction Training is residential in nature. Arrange accommodation for the resource persons and trainees.
·         Identify required number of venues for the training programme. Ensure suitable physical and infrastructural facilities at all the venues smooth conduct of residential mode of training. DEOs are instructed to pay personnel attention on this matter.
·         Digital Classroom may be used for classroom transaction
·         Each classroom should be suitable for the capacity of 50 participants.
·         Public addressing system should be made available in the venue.
·         Inform the particulars of the venues to the DEOs of other Districts well in advance.
Transaction:
  • DEO / Dy.E.Os. should take at-least one class in each centre.
  • ICT usage is to be encouraged in all training venues.
  • The ambiance of the training venue should be academic and motivating environment.
  • Posters / Quotations on education should be display in each classroom.
  • Transaction should be in participatory approach.

Material
·         Provide sufficient material to prepare TLM i.e., charts, sketch pens, scales, pencils, scissors, tape roles, fevistick, cardboards, glue, staplers, bell pins, old news papers, magazines etc. for the sessions and for the TLM Mela to be organized on the last day.
·         Inform Teachers to bring textbooks of classes IX and X of their respective subjects to the training classes compulsorily.
·         Display reference / resource books for the teachers in all venues. Give opportunity to all the trainees to read those books and write note on them.
·         Handbook: SCERT will supply the soft copy of handouts of all subjects. The same should be printed and supplies to all the trainees and make them to utilize properly.
Monitoring
  •  DEO will Act as the Course Director for all the Batches in the District
  •  Appoint Dy.E.Os / Principal DIET / Lecturer IASE as course coordinator.
  •  DEO should visit one venue every day.
  •  Course Director should ensure 100% attendance of trainees every day.

Documentation
  • Constitute a documentation committee in each venue.
  • Document daily activities with photos and evidences.
  • Documentation of the entire district level training programme with visual support with participant's data is a must. Any press coverage may also be incorporated in the documentation. Submit the hard copy to the state office and mail the same to rmsa.dseap.gov.in@gamil.com and apscert@yahoo.com

Feedback
·         In the last session of training programme, take the written feedback of the participants in the prescribed format. They are to be reviewed immediately and action is to be taken to rectify any adverse remarks/comments to strengthen the activities of the next batch. The feedback collected shall be preserved in the District RMSA office for further use duly sending a comprehensive report to the State Office.
·         Analyze the results of Pre test & post test and report the analysis to the Director SC ERT.

Instructions to Course Coordinator
·         Flexes and banners should be arranged saying
‘Government of Andhra Pradesh,
Department of School Education,
Induction Training Programme (Spell-2) for New Teachers (School Assistants) – 2014.
·         The venue should have proper accommodation with all necessary logistical arrangements separately for ladies and gents.
·         Hygienic and tasty food should be provided.
·         There should be night watchmen in the venue, if the lady teachers are there in the venue watchwomen should be appointed.
·         Every classroom should have the furniture, mineral water, suitable electrical facilities for arranging LCD Projectors.
·         Regular prayer should be conducted in the venue.
·         Course Coordinator should observe classes and interact with the participants at appropriate time to envision the true essence of training
·         Daily review meeting should be conducted with the Resource Persons and should give proper instructions to complete the topics.
·         After completion of regular sessions the motivational / educational videos / movies should be played in the venue.
·         Documentation along with photos and videos should be submitted to Director, SCERT A.P., Hyderabad.
Instructions to Resource Persons
·         Resource Person should plan the 04 day programme with proper sessions distribution
·         All the Resource Person should prepare TLM and Power Point Presentations in their topics.
·         Resource Persons should have cordial talk with the teachers. RPs should have pleasing manners and should be friendly with the teachers
·         All the topics laid in module should be covered.
·         TLM Mela should be organized on the last day as per the schedule
