Go no 144 Dt:18-7-17 Human Resources – Contractual Services in Government Departments – Extension of the contractual Services up to 31.07.2018 – Orders - Issued.

O R D E R :

In continuation of the orders issued in the reference fifth read above, the

Government hereby permits all departments to renew the contractual

services subsisting on 31st July, 2017, for another one year, i.e., from 1st

August, 2017 to 31st July 2018 or an earlier period, as deemed appropriate,

based on the imperative need for such services by the department. The terms

and conditions of the contract shall remain unchanged for the contractual

services.

2. These orders are strictly limited to those services, including those

personnel that were taken up by the departments with the prior concurrence

of the Finance Department. The Heads of Departments – Secretariat and the

Departmental Heads – and the District Collectors are hereby authorized to

extend the contractual services that were subsisting on 31st July, 2017, for

another one year, i.e., from 1st August, 2017 to 31st July 2018 at the State

and the District levels respectively, provided competent authority has

undertaken a review of the need for such services and has enough empirical

rationale for extending the services by another one year.

3. All Secretaries, Head of departments and District Collectors are hereby

informed that no services shall be contracted without the prior concurrence

of the Finance Department and the approval of the Government.
