- Supervision: All Municipal Corporations (except GVMC) shall function under the close supervision of the respective District Collectors.
⚖️ Legal Provisions & Penalties
Delegation of Powers: Officers appointed under this order are authorized to appoint further Census Officers within their jurisdiction.
Penalties (Section 11, Census Act, 1948):
- Fine up to ₹1,000
- Imprisonment up to 3 years upon conviction

This G.O. has been communicated to all concerned authorities including the Director of Census Operations, District Collectors, Tahsildars, and the Registrar General & Census Commissioner of India for necessary action.
