2% RESERVATION TO MERITORIOUS SPORTS PERSONS HORIZONTALLY IN DIRECT RECRUITMENT IN GOVERNMENT AT ALL LEVELS–ORDERS

The Andhra Pradesh State & Subordinate Service Rules, 1996–Amendment to Rule-22(2)(d)&(e) for providing 2% reservation to meritorious sports persons Horizontally in Direct Recruitment in Government at all levels–Orders–Issued.

AMENDMENTS

In the said rules, in rule- 22, in sub-rule(2),-

(i) For clause(d), the following clause shall be substituted,

namely:-

“The unit of appointment for the purpose of Direct recruitment shall be hundred vacancies of which two shall be reserved for meritorious sportspersons horizontally in all categories of posts.”

(ii) In clause(e)-

a) for the existing entries 48 and 98, the following entries shall be substituted, namely:-

“48 (meritorious sportsperson) (open)

98 (meritorious sportsperson) (open)”

 (b) after sub-clause (ii), the following sub-clause shall be added namely:-

“(iii) in the event of non availability of eligible sports persons, the points reserved for them should be deemed to be allotted to open competition in the same recruitment.”
